Twin Peaks vs. Twilight
The third twilight movie: Eclipse premieres tonight as does the first episode of the classic TV-serie Twin Peaks on Swedish television, channel 9. It's more than a coincky dinky if you ask me. Let's face it, these two have a lot in common! They're both shot in the rainiest north western parts of the U.S. with magical forests and secrets that lay as a mist over the towns. Both towns have a small population, they also have a cozy dinner were everybody meets. And the handsome James has similar puppy eyes as motorcycle pal and wolf boy: Jacob Black... the list goes on and man have they "inprinted" on me or what?!

When you were young...
The day is finally here! We get to see the entire True Blood cast again, and of course some new faces too! The 1st episode of Season 3 airs in the States tonight! Me and my man are going to have a bloody dinner tomorrow at jojo's and her man's pad were we are to see this episode! Can't wait. Here's a clip of a young Ryan Kwaten aka Jason Stackhouse that plays the role of Vinnie in the aussie soap-opera: Home and Away. Enjoy!

Sex and the titties 2
Me and the gals went to see the new sex and the city movie. We laughed our arses off! It was hilarious! Don't know if that was the doing of the 1/2 liter Cosmopolitan that we drank... EACH! Jojo made her nice (read: major spiked!) cosmo mix at home that we later were boozing up in the movie theater. Haha! We must have sounded like hyenas in there, cheers for the tipsy entertainment!
Peek-a-boo!
I remember when I was one of the few in my school who had a different ethnic background. We weren't many and it was hard at times to fit in. But there's a change today. We live in a more multi-cultural environment where globalization is key and instead of being blinded by über-blond hair and light skin I see a rainbow of colors in my hometown. Stockholm is expanding its horizons and when it comes to burlesque we've come a long way. Take a look at my new-found sweet hearts Chrystelle and Elena-Maria aka Page Three, shaking it!

Soundtrack of my life...
My parents didn't allow me to hitch-hike to Denmark, Roskilde, in the summer of '95. Ha! What a shocker! I was 14 and my only wish was to see Jeff Buckley on Stage. He had this amazing voice that left me in a daze. He sounded like a mixture of my two favorite jazz vocalists:
Nina Simone and Billie Holiday. Today we can hear Robert Pattinson, yes the vampire-actor, with a pipe that sounds a lot like the one of my hero Jeff Buckley. Do hope he gets to play him on the screen one day...
Buckley is known for his debut album "Grace" and this masterpiece has been with me since day one. Through high school, the good and the bad. It held my hand through cheating boyfriends and jumped for joy at my achievements in life. It remains till this day one of my top five favorite albums of all times.

toodles!
Ironically enough the sun did grace us with its presence on the last day of our holiday. My sis told me the following day that the temperature rose with at least 20 degrees the minute we left the country. We were bummed out 'cause we missed out on the london fields picnic in broadway market. But what got our spirits up this particular day was the unforgettable haunted house of Dennis Severe (www.dennissevershouse.co.uk). My dear friend jojo had been there a couple of weeks earlier to visit an old work colleague who's employed there now. She recommended the place as a "must see". I and my man are very much into the occult and I thought I'd surprise him by going there! After that we had a monday burgers for 5 quid at the belgian place beside the Dinner in Shoreditch. Afterwards we hugged my sis goodbye and headed to Heathrow airport with heavy steps, didn't want to leave, with the sun shining and all... I'll come down again this summer and the hot sun better be there then!
